In the unlucky 2018, internal roads were still clearing of the snow.
On this day we decided to change our plan, making it more interesting. Instead of driving on paths, we took ring road to Akureyri and we tried to reach Grimsey for the second time.
The weather was nice, and everything worked as planned. A Twin Otter from Norlandair took us to the small island. Here a tour guide picked us up and drove us around. It could be possible to walk around, and surely it would be lovely, but there was just not enough time.
Once we got back to Akureyri we headed east. Our next hotel was near the junction between road 88 and number 1.
