TOURS and PLACES
Troll Expeditions: we had a great time on the tour from Vik to Katla Ice Caves
The Lava Tunnel: A great tour of a lava cave near Reykjavik. Take the standard tour, the extreme one is in a pitch black tunnel with uneven floor. It requires skill and courage (never experienced the extreme tour atm)
Lava Centre: small but interesting museum about how a volcano erupts and about some icelandic volcanoes.
Blue Lagoon: the most famous hot water baths in Iceland. Book well in advance, even in winter it is pretty crowded.
Myvatn Nature Baths: located near lake Myvatn it is a great place to relax.
Atlantsflug: tours by air. We took the West Special from Skaftafell and surely loved it.
Laki Tours: whale watching and bird watching tours. Be aware if you are seasick.
Perlan: a must-see museum in Reykjavik!
Freevilli: an incredible collection of bones, art and much more!
Petra’s stone collection: a gigantic collection of rocks and minerals found all over Iceland.
